Industrial plants often involve the processing of highly flammable/toxic gases and liquids, should there be an escape of flammable/toxic gas or liquid then the plant, plant operatives and the local population can be put at risk, this can lead to injury, loss of life, loss of expensive process plant and damage to the environment.
